§ 26-162.1. Notification to be provided to neighbors.

  • (a)

    Prior to the application to the mayor and city council for a permit to move a building, the person must comply with the following:

    (1)

    Send certified letters to all neighboring properties within a one block radius of the lot from which the building will be removed if located within the city; and

    (2)

    Send certified letters to all neighboring properties within a one block radius of the lot to be occupied by the building when moved if located within the city.

    (b)

    Such certified letters shall provide the following: Notification of the intent to move the building from or to a location within the city on the proposed moving date.

    (c)

    The expenses which shall be incurred in the retention and utilization of the police officer required in section 26-167 shall be borne by the person moving the building and applied to the cost of obtaining the permit provided for in section 26-160.
