§ 8-72. Same—Sanitary requirements.

  • Any person who has obtained a permit to stable or keep large animals or fowl within 200 feet of the property line of an occupied residence or public building must comply with the following:

    (1)

    Provide a stable with a concrete floor and an 18-inch concrete chain wall.

    (2)

    Where bedding is used, said bedding must be changed not less than once per week or as often as necessary to keep the floor clean and odor free.

    (3)

    Manure must be picked up daily and stored in a covered, flyproof, impervious container until properly disposed of.

    (4)

    All grain feeds must be stored in a metal, covered, and ratproof container.

    (5)

    All means necessary must be employed to keep the entire premises odor free.

    (6)

    Effective fly, rodent, and other vermin control measures must be used to keep the premises free of said vermin.
