§ 44-19. Water rate schedule established.

(a)

The following schedule of rates shall be charged for water furnished by the waterworks system of the city:

(1)

First 2,000 gallons per month ..... $5.67
(increasing to $6.38 on 01/01/2015)

(2)

Over 2,000 gallons per month, per 1,000 gallons ..... $1.62
(increasing to $1.82 on 01/01/2015)

(3)

Minimum bill ..... $5.67
(increasing to $6.38 on 01/01/2015)

No water sold at special rates or by negotiation.

(b)

When more than one family uses water from one service line, there shall be a minimum charge of $5.67 (increasing to $6.38 on 01/01/2015) per family, with an allowance of 2,000 gallons of water per family for that minimum charge.

(c)

When more than one family uses water from one service line, the owner of record of the property shall be held responsible for all charges for water used from the service line.
