§ 38-19. Same—Destroyed or demolished buildings.

In the event of the destruction or demolition, in whole or in part, of any building or other work by fire or other cause, the owner of the building or other work, or his agent, shall within six days after such event, remove or cause to be removed, all debris resulting therefrom, lying in or upon the sidewalks, roadway, or gutters of the street.
