§ 10-49. Elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators and amusement devices; inspections; inspection fees.

(a)

All elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators and amusement devices shall be installed to conform to the requirements set forth in the Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code. In order to ensure conformance to those requirements, all such devices must be inspected and a certificate of approval issued before the devices can be placed in actual use.

(b)

Before making any inspection herein required, the building department shall collect an inspection fee from the person making application therefor, which fee shall be in an amount as established by the mayor and city council from time to time.
