§ 40-57. Construction of ditches under sidewalks, specifications; work to meet approval of mayor and city council.

  • It shall be unlawful for any property owner to dig a ditch under the sidewalk unless a crock or concrete brace is placed thereunder. In the event that said concrete brace or crock placed in said ditch under said sidewalk does not meet with the approval of the mayor and city council, then said mayor and city council reserve the right to have said work done in an approved manner and the property owner will be billed for the cost thereof.
