§ 34-73. Zoning provisions regarding the opening or reopening of package liquor stores.

  • (a)

    The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Package liquor store means any business selling alcoholic beverages at the retail level to the public at large for consumption off the premises.

    Person means any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company, or organization of any kind.

    (b)

    The opening or reopening of package liquor stores in all zoning classifications on 4th Street from the eastern city limits to the Keyhole Canal within the city limits is hereby prohibited.

    (c)

    The foregoing shall not apply to existing package liquor stores in all zoning classifications on 4th Street from the eastern city limits to the Keyhole Canal within the city limits.
