§ 30-36. Exceptions.

Provided the premises complies with all other applicable ordinances and regulations, the following situations shall be excluded from the application of section 30-35:
(1)

The provisions of section 30-35 shall not apply with regard to a personal vehicle, appliance or other personal machinery or equipment of the proprietary party provided such item is in an enclosed building and so located upon the premises as not to be readily visible from any public place or from any surrounding property.

(2)

The provisions of section 30-35 shall not apply with regard to a licensed and properly operated junkyard; or with regard to any business operated in a lawful place, other than in or within 300 feet of a residential district or residential premises, and operated in a lawful manner when the keeping or maintenance of such items is necessary to the operation of such enterprise; or with regard to any appropriate storage place or depository maintained by the city or its departments.
