§ 2-5. Background check request; fee.

(a)

Those individuals who request background checks to be performed by the city police department are required to remit payment before the service will be performed. The fee for a background check shall be in an amount as established by the city council from time to time.

(b)

Those individuals requesting the background check must execute a waiver releasing the city, the city housing authority and the city police department from any liability in connection with the preparation, review and dissemination of the information included in the background check.
