§ 28-5. Costs of court assessed.

  • (a)

    The mayor's court shall assess a fee as costs of court against any person found guilty by said court of the breach or violation of any city ordinance or of the violation of state or parish law tried before the court. The amount of the court costs fee shall be as established by the city council from time to time.

    (b)

    The city council may establish fees as court costs for the expungement of records pursuant to pleas made in accordance with LA Crim. Code (C.Cr.P) art. 894.

    (c)

    The city council may establish fees as court costs for the extension of payments of fines and court costs assessed pursuant to pleas made in the municipal court.
