§ 26-40. Stopping, standing or parking—Generally.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to park any automobile, truck, or other vehicle within a space marked "No Parking." The parking of all automobiles or other vehicles shall be on the right-hand side of the road in the direction in which the said vehicle may be headed and all parking shall be parallel to the curb and not more than one foot from the curb.

    (b)

    No motor vehicle shall at any time be parked in such a manner as to block the entrance of any driveway.

    (c)

    Motor vehicles shall not be parked in front of, on sides of, or in rear of business places unless the occupants of said motor vehicles are doing business with said business place, or are tenants of said building.

    (d)

    It shall be unlawful for motor vehicles to double-park on narrow streets within the city, where the same would block traffic on said street.

    (e)

    It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle not in running use to be parked on the streets of the city.

    (f)

    It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle on the sidewalks or neutral grounds of the city.
