§ 20-17. Storage, display and/or exhibition of materials in Salaville Historic District.

  • (a)

    The storage, display, and/or exhibition of goods and/or materials on sidewalks or public servitudes within the Salaville Historic District are hereby prohibited.

    (b)

    The storage, display, and/or exhibition of goods and/or materials on private property in front of businesses within the Salaville Historic District between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. are hereby prohibited.

    (c)

    Goods and/or materials may be displayed on private property in front of businesses within the Salaville Historic District between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. provided that the owner of said business has first obtained a display permit from the historic district commission.

    (d)

    An application for a display permit must be submitted to the historic district commission in writing, on forms provided by the historic district commission. The applicant must appear before the historic district commission in full session so that a public hearing for the consideration of the permit may be held before the permit may be granted.

    (e)

    Display permits shall be subject to periodic review by the historic district commission, and may be revoked as deemed necessary by the commission.
