There is hereby adopted by the mayor and city council, for the purpose of prescribing
regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion,
that certain code known as the National Fire Prevention Code, known as the NFPA 1,
2012 edition, in its entirety, and also any further amendments thereto published by
the National Fire Protection Association, save and except such portions as are hereinafter
deleted, modified or amended, of which code not less than three copies of said code
have been and are now filed by the office of the city clerk, and the same is hereby
adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date
of which the ordinance from which this section is derived shall take effect the provisions
hereof shall be controlling within the city limits.
