§ 12-126. No swimming areas.

(a)

It shall be unlawful to enter into or engage in the act of swimming in the area from the Westwego boat launch at the head of the canal to the No. 2 pumping station and the Mississippi River within the city limits, and the director of public works shall erect the necessary signs notifying the public of such.

(b)

Violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine in the amount of $250.00.
